What you can expect during your first visit to Van Horne Dental?
How long will your first visit take?
During your initial office visit, our friendly and experienced team will fully review your dental and medical history, and perform a thorough dental examination. Typically your first appointment will take around 60 minutes. We ask that you arrive a few minutes early to fill out a Patient Privacy Disclosure form and familiarize yourself with our office. Your Oral Care History
During your first visit, we will review your dental care history, as well as any concerns you have regarding your oral health.
Complete Oral Exam
Our staff will perform a complete oral exam, including X-rays if needed, in order to assess the overall health of your smile.
Open Communication & Answers Questions
If there is something specific that you would like to discuss about your appointment, please bring this to our attention during your first visit.
A Full Oral Health Plan
Following your first appointment, we will prepare recommendations, including take home tips, as well as any recommendations for your subsequent appointments you and your dentist agreed upon. We strive to provide to keep our patients informed and educated on their dental treatment options.
Dental insurance
Dental insurance is a contract between the patient, their employer and their insurance company. We will happily assist you with calls to your insurance company, in your presence, to help determine your eligibility and coverage for any recommended treatment. We believe an informed patient will best utilize their dental benefits.
Fees
For any required payment, we accept the following methods of payment: Mastercard, Visa, Debit, Cash and Cheque.
Cancellation Requests
Our team will contact you one week prior to and again one day in advance of your scheduled appointment with a courtesy reminder. Please provide a minimum of 2 business days' notice to change and/or cancel your appointment.
